Our Mission.
Hooked on Miracles is a non-profit organization that hosts an annual King Mackerel Fishing Tournament in support of the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. The event would not be possible without our sponsors, volunteers, and anglers. 100% of the proceeds from the tournament are directly given to the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. We have a goal of funding and providing hospital dogs for each floor of the hospital for all of the patients to enjoy as they recover and heal. Additionally, our organization is proud to be able to fund the STAR program giving patients the opportunity to home school during their treatment and care at MUSC!!
Making a difference.
Meet Cher (pictured left) and Zelda (pictured above)! We are happy to share how impactful our hospital dogs have been to the patients and families of MUSC Children’s Hospital. To sustain the growth and workability of our dogs, MUSC has been able to complete their project of building a therapeutic play space where dogs, like Cher and Zelda, are able to play with patients as well as each other after their long work hours. We look forward to adding another dog to the hospital in late 2025!!
